Bayern Reject Barcelona Tillman Bid
Timothy Tillman hasn't made his first team debut but the talented attacking midfielder has already attracted the attention of Spanish giants Barcelona according to his agent Christian Rossner.
Bayern Munich signed Tillman from Greuther Furth for €500,000 in 2015 with the 18 year old is seen as one of the most promising footballers in the Bundesliga.
Tillman - who qualifies to play for the USA due to his American father - was part of Bayern's pre-season tour last summer but hasn't managed to make his first team debut under Carlo Ancelotti.
His agent told Sport Bild - via the Metro - Barcelona had made an offer for him recently.
'There was a tangible offer from Barcelona. They`ve observed him for months and they wanted to sign him for the new season.'
Barcelona's proposal was for him to train with the first team with Tillman becoming a regular in the Barca team within two-three years. However, Uli Hoeness had no intention of letting him leave the Allianz Arena as Bayern have high hopes for him.
'Barca`s plan was to let him train with the first team and give him match practice in the second team. In two or three years he would have become a full part of the first team. Bayern president Hoeness vetoed it. They are confident Timothy can become a first-team player.'
